This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I LOVE getting art work of my OC's. I'll always take freebies. If you wanna do an art trade of some sort (where I make you a DA page or journal skin in exchange for your art) please send me a note! I'd be happy to sort something out.
F.A.Q
FAQ
Q. What is a DA Page? A. A DA page is what I like to call the combo of custom box graphics and journal skin work. I call it DA page because it consists of all the stuff you can do for customization.
Q. $1 does not equal 200 it's supposed to be 80 A.
Q. Will you take requests? A. I will take them, but that doesn't mean I'll make them. I mostly enjoy making custom things for people rather then pre-made things. I will make the occasional free layout using some fan art but that's normally about it.
Q. Do you do art trades? A. Yes! But it's very rare and I'm also VERY picky. I wont do art trades with someone who's art I don't like. So if I say no, just take it as that and move on. okay?
Q. How do you do art trades? A. It's just like art trades normally! I just offer a journal skin or DA page or custom box graphics instead of art. I've done this several times with friends and it has worked out very well in my opinion. I make sure my work is done in a timely manor. either before or shortly after the other side of the work has been done.
Q. How long does it take you to code? A. To code a journal it doesn't take me anymore then maybe 20 minutes. This is because I have a code already built that I change drastically to fit each skin. I've been working with this stuff for 7 years now and so I know my way around code pretty well. As for custom boxes, those can take longer. Anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. Often I make the background image too small or WAY too big. This means I have to go in and alter the picture and then re-upload it to make it work in the box. Once that is done i make sure that the text is going to show up right and that the box inside is going to show up properly.
Q. How many years of experience with code and design do you have? A. I've been playing with both for around 7-8 years now. It's been on and off so I'm not as polished as some others might be. I've only been playing with it here and there. I've never been able to make code up on my own unless just straight copying it from something but all code does end up being the same technically xD Anyway. I've been playing with photoshop around almost 9 years now. I used to roleplay on myspace back when that was cool and I would edit pictures for my characters (since i was a poor little kid back then i couldnt commission ;~ so I got pretty good with it. That's also when i learned to play with code
Thanks again!
